PAUSD
offers summer school programs for grades K-12 at Palo Alto school
sites. Summer School Registration Packets containing registration
and emergency forms, a course catalog, and general information
about summer school are available in
early spring. You can download Registration Packets below
for each educational level or pick them up at school offices or
the district office.
Registration for Summer School 2008 begins:
- Elementary School - March 17, 2008
- Middle School - April 14, 2008
- High School - April 14, 2008
A cancellation fee of $65 will
be charged if you request a refund before June 6 th. No refunds
will be granted after June 6 th.
The City of Palo Alto offers a free
shuttle service.

Traditional
Program
Classes blend skills maintenance and enrichment activities with
core subject curriculum

Spanish Immersion Program
For currently enrolled Spanish Immersion students or fluent Spanish
speakers

Writing/Arts Enrichment Program
Students will engage in challenging writing activities integrated
with the visual arts.

Time: 8:30 am-12:30 pm

Grades: entering 2-5
Math Intervention (Math Mania)
This program is for recommended students only. Teachers
and principals at home school sites determine eligibility. Selected
students will be mailed enrollment materials.

Middle School
Summer Program (for students entering grades 6 - 8)

The middle school summer program combines a blend of enrichment
and skills maintenance activities intended to provide experiences
that are fun, and, at the same time, educationally stimulating.
Location: J.L. Stanford Middle School- 480 E. Meadow Drive
Dates: June 23 - July 18 (4 weeks, holiday July 4th)
Time: 8:00 am-12:15 pm
Tuition: $190 for one class (2
hours) ; $375 for two classes ( 4 hours)
Grades: entering 6-8

High School Summer
Program (for students entering grades 9 - 12)

The high school program offers students an opportunity to take
required classes for credit, and to make-up classes they need
to re-take.

Dates: June 23- July 18 (4 weeks, July 4th) *
Time: 8:00 am-1:15 pm
Tuition: $440
Grades: entering 9-12
* Regular attendance is important. Students will be dropped from
any course if they accrue more than three absences. Three tardies
will be counted as one absence.

Special
Education
Students with "Extended Year" on their IEP may participate in special education summer
school programs. Registration materials are available through
the Special Education Department . Summer programs are located
