Palo Alto – We are pleased to announce the Board took action this morning to appoint Dr. Lisa Marie Gonzales as Principal of Fairmeadow Elementary School.
The Fairmeadow Principal Selection Input Committee felt that Dr Gonzales had the strong qualifications and experience they sought in their next principal. Incoming Superintendent, Dr. Kevin Skelly, noted, “Dr. Gonzales is a very talented and committed administrator who will be a great addition to our administrative team.”
Dr. Gonzales began her teaching career with the Jefferson Elementary School District in 1993. In 2002-03, Dr. Gonzales was appointed to an elementary principalship with the San Jose Unified School District. She has served as principal at Los Alamitos and Bachrodt Academy over the past five years. Dr. Gonzales served as an educational consultant and grant writer for a number of school districts and was the Curriculum Director for the NASA Ames Research Center, Education Department from 1997-1999.
Dr. Gonzales earned a Bachelor of Science degree, Business Management, and a Bachelor of Arts degree, Radio / TV / Film Production, from San Jose State University. She earned a Masters of Arts, Education Leadership, from San Jose State University and a Doctorate in Education, Organizational Leadership, from the University of La Verne.
